States of Mind is a three-channel video installation that continues to engage with the contemporary world of global networks and connectivity explored in my earlier works.
The images were captured at Charles de Gaulle, Darwin, Dubai, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Hong Kong, JFK, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles, Pudong, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Sofia, Sydney and Vienna airports. Passing in and out of frame, anonymous figures rush past, lost in space and thought. The airwaves are dense with fragments of overheard conversations, airport announcements and directives, radio communications between ground control and pilots, and the cabin crew of a plane that has been hijacked.
